We had so much fun with our Spring Color by Sight Word pictures, that I decided it was time to add Fall Color by Sight Word pages to the blog, too. These are such an easy way to practice sight words. Just print them off, grab some crayons, colored pencils or markers and you are ready to go.
Fall Color by Sight Word pictures make a great word work activity or literacy center. Once students know how to complete these, it can be done as an independent activity.
I like to have my girls start by coloring the "key" at the top. This makes it easier for them to remember what to color each sight word. Then it is just a matter of finding the word in the picture and then matching it to the color on the key and coloring it in.
I love using these pages as a way to practice reading and identifying sight words. Adding in a theme always makes it a little more fun and these will be perfect to use for the next few months in your classroom or homeschool.
My girls LOVE helping me "test" these pages. My first grader can read most of the words and do the pages on her own. My four year old can't read the words, but knows how to complete the pages once I help her with the color coding at the top. She matches the words and then colors away.
These sight word pages are FREE for you. Just scroll down to the bottom of this post to download your copy today!

Need EDITABLE Color by Sight Word Pages?
The tricky thing about sight words is that every teacher in every school district seems to use a different list. Some stick to Dolch or Fry lists, while others use a list from a textbook, and others have a list created by their district. It is hard to create freebies or resources that include all of the words that every teacher out there needs. Until now....
I've created EDITABLE color by sight word pictures for each season. Now, you can type the words your students need to work on into the top, and they will autofill into the pictures. Quick and easy! You can make differentiating a snap!
