Supplies Needed:
- Cardstock
- Dot Markers (aka bingo daubers) in pink, red, and purple purple (we used THESE and THESE for the glittery shine)
- Different size hearts cut out of paper or cardstock
- Washi Tape (or some sort of removable tape)
Directions:
Cut out different size hearts. I happened to have a stash that had been cut with a die cut machine years ago. You could also use a Silhouette Cameo to cut them out if you want perfect hearts. Or if you have something heart shaped, just trace it several times onto a piece of cardstock. Depending on the age of the children doing the project, they might be able to draw/trace their own hearts and cut them out.
Use small loops of washi tape on the back of the hearts and stick them to the white cardstock that will be painted on. Each heart only needs 1 or 2 small pieces. It does not need to be completely secured to the paper.
Once the hearts are taped down, use the dot markers to make dots all over the paper, even covering over the taped on hearts. Fill the whole page with colors.
My daughters started smearing the dots so it looked like a solid color versus dots. Either way is fine.
Let the paper dry and then remove the hearts (they should come off easily with no tearing if you used removable tape like washi tape.)
Ta-da! You have a cute craft that was easy yet fun!
