Sight Word Mats - How to Use
To use these mats, print out the words you want students to practice. Laminate or use these reusable plastic pouches to protect the mats.Decide how you want students to practice the words:
-Playdough
-Dry Erase Markers
-Wikki Stix
-Mini Erasers
These are just some ideas. There are so many hands on ways that students can form the letters to spell each word.
Have students form each letter. Once the word is finished, have students read the word then clear their board and try a new word.
To print mini versions of the sight word practice mats like in the picture above, you will need to adjust the settings when you print the PDF file. Click on "multiple" in the printer setting and adjust how many you want printed per page. This is a great paper saving option and students are still able to practice the words using a variety of hands on tools.
